The Le@rning Federation out of Australia provides digital resources aligned with Australian standards. There are several categories in the sample curriculum content section that you should definitely check out! Number Trains, from the Early Years category, is a wonderful interactive for learning to count numbers 1-10 represented as words, numerals, and dots! Place the carriages in the correct order in groups of four to make the train move along the track. Enjoy, and don’t forget to check out the rest of the free activities.

I first read about Math Doodles last week at the EDucation ToGoBox. Math Doodles, created by Daren Carstens, were “designed to provide a place where anyone can discover the joy, wonder, and fun of mathematics.” There are currently 7 Math Doodle interactives available in Demo mode. Check out Number Jump below.  The object is to smash the flies by maneuvering the ball along the number lines.

Ann and Addem’s Dartboard Game is a great narrated game from the Number Time section of the BBC website. In order to reach the target score, you must place the dart in the correct number spot on the dartboard. Remember that on a dartboard the outer spaces are double that of the inner ones. To move the darts, touch the dart to pick it up, then touch the spot where it should be released (this is not click, hold, drag, drop). There are also  options for 3 different levels and the ability to remove the timer. Have a look!
