Arbor Day is April 29th. There are some great resources out there for you to use with your students, including the interactives found at arborday.org. Pictured below is The Life of a Tree, which gives information about the growth of trees and how the rings in the trunk tell the tree’s age. One of our teachers asked if I had any activities for making patterns. I have posted a few things, but really need to add this one from Bedford Bytes to the list. Students can touch and drag images from nature to create patterns. The images can be flipped and turned to make it a little more challenging. The pattern can also be printed. Check it out!
