Hello readers! I’m sorry I’ve left you for so long. Things are starting to calm down a little in our second month of school, so get ready for more Goodies! Let’s start with Estimate and Measure with Chef Pierre from Compass Learning Odyssey. This is a great activity for K-1. Estimate how many cinnamon rolls each pan will hold, then measure to see if you are correct!
I hear all the time that many students have trouble with elapsed time. This interactive learning clock from Time-for-Time.com may help. You can change the time in intervals, and the sun/sky also moves and changes to reflect the time of day or night! Give it a try.

The Count Us In section of abc.net.au has a wonderful selection of math games for young children. Topics range from addition, subtraction, patterns, measurement, and more. This particular game (Game 13) requires that you put two halves together to make a whole picture. Once that is completed, the objects will move and dance around. Check them out! There are 15 games in all, and most work well on the SMART Board. Make sure you click the “How to Play” button if you run in to trouble.
