Fraction Flags is a great way to visually learn fractions. You can choose on the main menu to design a flag using halves, four one-quarters, three-quarters and one quarter, or a half and two one-quarters. Enjoy!

Super Science World is an awesome website with tons of Science activities on a variety of topics ranging from cells to atoms to circuits. All of the activities are free and have a number of levels for each game. Choose a character and answer the questions to try and beat your opponent and earn a star! Also check out Super Maths World for some of the free sample activities available.

Hello readers! I’m sorry I’ve left you for so long. Things are starting to calm down a little in our second month of school, so get ready for more Goodies! Let’s start with Estimate and Measure with Chef Pierre from Compass Learning Odyssey. This is a great activity for K-1. Estimate how many cinnamon rolls each pan will hold, then measure to see if you are correct!

I was inspired by something I saw today using the old “drag and drop” trick at our District SMART Board Workshop. I put on my thinking cap and created a piggy bank drop file for your students to use to count out coins. Make sure you turn up the volume to hear the coins actually fall into the piggy bank!
