I originally found this wonderful collection of whiteboard resources while browsing some Delicious bookmarks. Then it led me to a post made yesterday on EdGalaxy.com. These resources were compiled by Philip Crammond, and they include some I’ve never seen before. Please browse this fabulous resource! You will find many things that you can use.

Here are two of my favorites:

Letter Formation Writing Repeater- “Write your letter or hand writing pattern, save them and replay them on an IWB. For slow playback you will need to write the word slowly!”

Class Minder: “A digital assistant that keeps an eye on your class on those rare occasions when you have to pop out.” This is hilarious! Give your students a laugh. The “assistant” moves his eyes and makes different facial expressions.

Herd a Word is a fantastic game to play on the SMART Board. The object is to form words by connecting the letter balls. The more letters you use the more points you earn. Click here for a demonstration. To form a word, touch a letter, then drag your finger across the SMART Board to connect the additional letters to the word. There are two different modes of the game: Herd and Line. Let your kids have some fun on the SMART Board before the weekend starts!

Thanks to @waltonjm for sharing on Twitter these Fridge Letters found at Awenmedia.com. Similar to the Word Magnets I posted about a few days ago, but different in that this is a downloadable file that you will need to install and run from your desktop. It is free, and there is also a few other freebies found on the site.
