The Count Us In section of abc.net.au has a wonderful selection of math games for young children. Topics range from addition, subtraction, patterns, measurement, and more. This particular game (Game 13) requires that you put two halves together to make a whole picture. Once that is completed, the objects will move and dance around. Check them out! There are 15 games in all, and most work well on the SMART Board. Make sure you click the “How to Play” button if you run in to trouble.

Happy Monday! Today I came across (on Delicious) America on the Move from Americanhistory.si.edu. This site offers 3 interactives that help students understand how transportation has changed over time and how it has impacted the growth of America. I’d like to highlight Where’s Everyone Going? From the site: Match a variety of vehicles with their destinations and time periods to learn how much transportation in America has changed over time. Don’t forget to check out the other interactives as well: Drive Through Time and Be a Movie Director.
