One of our third grade teachers, Beth Williams, introduced me to this wonderful site so I thought I’d pass it along to you. Fun4thebrain.com contains lots of games that work well on the SMART Board. The majority are math games, but there are some science, english, and “just for fun” games as well. Here is one of the division games, but there are many more on the website!

Here is a free activity by Mathsframe.co.uk where students can practice making change on 6 different levels. This site offers a subscription, but several resources are offered for free, including finding multiples and missing digits.

The web-based, slimmed down version of Notebook Software has launched. This version of Notebook will allow you to open and edit a Notebook file from any computer that has internet access.
Here is the description from the site:
SMART Notebook Express is the new lightweight, web-based version of SMART Notebook software, and is the latest addition to the SMART Notebook family of products. It offers open access to some of the same delivery and editing features that have made SMART Notebook the world’s most popular collaborative learning software. You don’t need to log on and there’s no software to download – all you need is access to the Internet.
The tools available at this time are the Page Sorter, Text-editing tool, Pen Tool, and Single object selection, move and delete. Please click here to launch the application, or visit the SMART Tech site to learn more.

Many students have trouble with elapsed time. The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives has an activity that addresses this skill using both analog and digital clocks. It also works well on the SMART Board, along with all of the other activities on this site!
