This is a fun Halloween Candy Game to count the calories in popular Halloween candy. Just drag pieces of candy into the pumpkin’s mouth to see how quickly the calories climb. The pumpkin will let you know if he likes it or if he’s had too much. Enjoy!

Farmer Fred’s Pumpkin Patch is a nice interactive game from Multiplication.com. I saw one of my students playing it this morning and thought it would be perfect to share with you on this beautiful October Friday. Simply click on the plot to plant your seed, water it, then harvest it- all while practicing your multiplication tables (1 to 12). Have fun!

I have blogged about the wonderful MightyBook.com site several times in the past. New this month on the site is an animated book entitled “It’s Halloween” that you should really check out. There are also some Halloween jokes and coloring pages that are free to download. Don’t forget about the “Dry Bones Connected” animated story song, too! One last thing- check out my Halloween Resources from last year! There are some cool things there.

Check out GeoGames from reachtheworld.org. There are two activities: Build Planet Earth and Map Countries and Cities. They are both drag-and-drop activities and work great on the SMART Board. Try them out if you are studying North and South Poles, continents, oceans, mountains and rivers. Happy Tuesday!
