I found these games on the Dutch whiteboard site schoolbordportaal.nl (Google Chrome was so kind to translate it for me, too!). You all remember Simon, right? Test your memory by following the patterns of lights and sounds for as long as you can. There is also a nice Connect 4 game on the site as well. Have fun!
One of our teachers asked if I had any activities for making patterns. I have posted a few things, but really need to add this one from Bedford Bytes to the list. Students can touch and drag images from nature to create patterns. The images can be flipped and turned to make it a little more challenging. The pattern can also be printed. Check it out!
The Count Us In section of abc.net.au has a wonderful selection of math games for young children. Topics range from addition, subtraction, patterns, measurement, and more. This particular game (Game 13) requires that you put two halves together to make a whole picture. Once that is completed, the objects will move and dance around. Check them out! There are 15 games in all, and most work well on the SMART Board. Make sure you click the “How to Play” button if you run in to trouble.
