Happy Earth Day! Here’s a neat site for your students to try today. Enter any room of the Sydney Interactive House and click on the items to read facts and solutions about water conservation. If you are looking for more Earth Day resources, check out my Delicious links.

Gullah Net from Knowitall.org is a great site to learn about the history and culture of the Gullah people and language. The Gullah people are members of communities in South Carolina and Georgia who are the descendants of enslaved Africans. This site contains a wonderful set of folk tales, music, and teacher resources. Check it out for something a little different.

It’s great to be back after a wonderful Spring Break! Today I’d like to share with you a site called Winged Sandals. This site contains wonderful interactive material that can be used to learn about Greek mythology. There are animated stories, games, activities, a Who’s Who section on Greek gods, mortals, monsters, and more things like desktop backgrounds and ecards! Check it out!

I found these games on the Dutch whiteboard site schoolbordportaal.nl (Google Chrome was so kind to translate it for me, too!). You all remember Simon, right? Test your memory by following the patterns of lights and sounds for as long as you can. There is also a nice Connect 4 game on the site as well. Have fun!
