Hope you are having a great Monday morning!
Now your students can learn all about shapes by using Shape Facts from Innovations Learning. Find out how many sides and corners a shape has, as well as determine the lines of symmetry by folding the shape. Very handy!

Check out this little gem: Ball to Drive you Crazy by Tom Phillips. One of my 3rd grade classes had a BLAST with this today. It works sort of like a yo yo. Touch the screen and the string moves and bounces the ball. Touch the actual ball and it changes colors and sizes. Enjoy!

MyMaths.co.uk is a website that offers revision pages, games, puzzles, offline activities and ready-made Maths lessons for using on an interactive whiteboard. There are many free sample lessons and games that are fantastic, but some do require entry using a keyboard, however. I’d like to highlight the Angler game. Just draw the correct angle to win points. This works fine on the SMART Board using the pen to draw the angle. Give it a try!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here is a fun game called Lucky Clover to play on the SMART Board today. The object is to find, by touching/clicking, all 10 four leaf clovers as quickly as possible. Let the students take turns to see who gets the best score. Tip: There are lots of distractions on the site around this game. I tried using the Flash Game Maximizer extension in Firefox but it didn’t seem to work properly. Another suggestion would be to use the screen shade or spotlight tool to highlight just the game area. Have fun!
