English for Little Children is a great interactive for English Language Learners or very young children. There are 2 different levels that include activities for learning words in different categories such as animals, the body, school, and many more. Once a category is selected, a series of activities will begin that include learning the words, finding pairs, and matching. Here is a preview of the one of the food activities. Click (or touch) the appropriate picture after the word is spoken aloud. Click the arrow to move to the next activity in the set. Note: This works best when viewed in Internet Explorer.

Ann and Addem’s Dartboard Game is a great narrated game from the Number Time section of the BBC website. In order to reach the target score, you must place the dart in the correct number spot on the dartboard. Remember that on a dartboard the outer spaces are double that of the inner ones. To move the darts, touch the dart to pick it up, then touch the spot where it should be released (this is not click, hold, drag, drop). There are also  options for 3 different levels and the ability to remove the timer. Have a look!

The Jamestown Online Adventure found at HistoryGlobe.com is an interactive activity that let’s you create your own colony. You will be scored based on several factors, and then you can compare your colony to Jamestown at the end to see how well you did. From the site: You are the Captain of the Jamestown Colony: Can you do any better than the real colonists? You will have a copy of the London Company’s Instructions to help guide you. Also, you can ask your fellow colonists and the Native Americans for advice. Be careful, though, because some advice is better than others! Check it out!
